Sagacity Birthday Bash!

Last weekend myself and some friends attended the Seventh Annual Sagacity Birthday Bash in Victoria, a kink filled weekend of parties, workshops, like minded people, whipcracks, whimpers, wiggles and screams ...

It was AWESOME and I am already planning to go again next year! It is a well organized, well run event put on by some very special folks over there on the island. Especially Ladyfish!

We got there Friday, did the check in with the Harbour Towers Hotel, (who by the way we must commend for allowing the event to happen, we all know how fearful people can be about kink and I heard they welcomed us with open arms, HOORAY Harbour Towers Hotel) and went for dinner then returned to change and go to the Fetish or Formal Meet and Greet Party on Friday night. Everyone looked great and happy, the Erotic Art Show was a visual delight and all the items for the silent auction were on display, including two gift certificates to our very own Dragonfly's Den I am proud to say. Ladyfish was wearing a stunning black satin gown and shawl that set off her curly red hair and huge beautiful smile!

His suspension/energy pull demo was amazing on Friday. He was suspended by hooks through his back then two people, male and female with hooks through their chest raised him up, it was very transcendental, pulsing music, the two people dancing and weaved in a primal way, and pulling on each other to get psyched, Elwood was pulling himself up to warm up and then they hooked the two to him and pulled and danced backward lifting him up by the flesh hooks in his back with the flesh hooks in their chests, it was the most amazing thing I have ever seen truly.

Afterwards the party was on and people circulated and introduced themselves. One person I hadn't seen in eight years from the old Purgatory days was at Sagacity and got to reconnect and meet her partner it was great. I also saw another I have only seen once in that many years and she and I will do a glass of wine together soon in the future. I met so many lovely and friendly Sagacity people that I can only remember faces and not all the names that I will have to confess to being a bonehead about names in the future when I see them again too.

At the end of the evening we went up to a penthouse suite an had fun with some Van kinksters who also travelled to the island for the Sagacity Birthday Bash, and more whipcracks were heard, a few of us excited to be attending Wheelers workshop at *gulp* 9am the next morning.

Joe Wheelers workshop with Fisherman was really great. I learned a lot of new things about whip throwing and learned I was doing some things wrong too. How I held the whip my stance etc. He was articulate and clear and willing to answer questions. Good looking too! Alas you single girls he is married to a lovely woman with beautiful eyes. After the class my lover (whom I will henceforth refer to as lover, my sexyman or MrSexy) and I went up to purchase the red and black bullwhip he had ordered ( I was so envious and he had been teasing me about it too the sadist) and Joe 's wife/ assistant pulled out two whips one was the one I expected and then there was the other, a purple and black 5',12 platt, signal whip!

I was completely floored and started jumping up and down and squealing and they laughed at me. I am so spoiled by MrSexy!
It is a beautiful whip and I have been hauling it around the house and dungeon since I got home flicking at inanimate objects and cracking it, it just rolls out so nice! OOOH the signal is a sexy whip!

Next we attended Sir Don's fireplay workshop, many moons ago I did a lot of fireplay as both a top and bottom but had not practised it in years and I would like to start again so I was very interested,. It was another great workshop, Sir Don taught us how to make our own wands, what alcohol to use, 70% isopropyl alcohol only and check the label they often get mixed up on the shelf. How to be safe with both the bottom and environment and he did it all with a very funny sense of humour too!

Sagacity put on a fantastic lunch after that and then off to workshops again. That afternoon I attended Elwood's piercer workshop and Mr Sexy pierced me and I pierced him, under Elwood’s direction. Then Elwood brought up a stunt cunt (hmm can I say that, oh well just did) and pierced her first two fingers together on the same needle, Then he wanted to slide a needle under her thumb but she couldn't and he asked if anyone else would want to try, well my hand shot up immediately, cause ya know I am a pain freak, despite my oh so dominant personality! I do some quick in through the nose out through the mouth breathing and held out my thumb for Elwood,... WOW that thing hurt like a bitch but then the endorphins kicked in and it was WHOO HOO flying now time for me. I shook uncontrollably like I always do when endorphining and was definitely worth the initial intensity of the sensation. Next we removed the piercings, either painlessly or sadistically depending on your bent and when MrSexy pulled out the thumb one it was just as intense as going in and I went up again like a kite on an updraft, wow! Temporary piercings under the skin do not hurt as much coming out as going in, endorphins again but it can also be done kindly and patiently too, this hurt just as much which makes me suspect it is actually worse if you factor in the endorphin rush!

We stayed in the same room for Elwood's scarification class and carved tomatoes with scalpels, it was interesting because I learned different ways to cut to make designs and depth artistically, very cool! Once again Elwod impressed me with his ethics and safety and cleanliness, Rack (Risk Awareness Consensual Kink) is very important to me, having had someone not inform me of all the risks ahead of time before! Seriously if it isn't informed consent with all risks known it simply isn't true consent in my books!

The workshop day over we once again went to dinner and then back to the room to shower and change and make our way to the West Harbour Ballroom for the Play Party. I just love the feeling when I walk into a kinky play party. Glorious is able to pierce herself( don’t ask me how I cannot I have to have another do it, or be doing another just cannot do it to myself at all) and had these wonderful red and black matching spider pins with red beads strung between that look so sexy. But first she did me and slid my black obsidian dragonfly pin through the skin over my breast. Then we realized it was too low for the corset and the corset would cover and rub it so out it came and over to the other breast it went, at the proper spot this time to glitter enticingly on my full breast. D was a sweety, handing us wipes and alcohol as needed, because of the way the pin is Mistress Glorious had to lean over my back and hug me to insert it, she is soo huggable and smells very nice, such soft skin,,,, oh la la! Once I was finished she then did herself and those pins were so sexy, glittering red spiders on a black background with three strands of glittering red beads between them. It was HOT! The evening was wonderful. Chatting with like minded friends and watching all the lovely people playing. Joe Wheeler and his wife Cheryl are truly wonderful folks and we had a nice chat about whips and teaching and our mutual love of pets and all sorts of things! I look forward to communicating with him soon!
Once again I cannot stress enough what a wonderful weekend event this is! Sagacity is a wonderful group of people who I admire greatly and Ladyfish is a delight to know and respect!
